1. Before you decorate, inspect each electrical item and discard any with damaged wiring.
2. If you are using electrical products outside, make sure that they are marked for outdoor use.
3. Keep electrical cords out of high traffic areas where they can be a tripping hazard to trick-or-treaters.
4. Be sure to plug all decorations into circuits protected by ground fault circuit interrupters to prevent shock.
