October 31st is just around the corner, what follows are several electrical safety tips to follow this trick-or-treat season.
- Before you decorate, inspect each electrical item and discard any with damaged wiring.
- If you are using electrical products outside, make sure that they are marked for outdoor use.
- Keep electrical cords out of high traffic areas where they can be a tripping hazard to trick-or-treaters.
- Be sure to plug all decorations into circuits protected by ground fault circuit interrupters to prevent shock.
